    Takamine Distillery is an awamori producer on Ishigaki Island in Okinawa Prefecture, founded in 1949. It makes awamori entirely by hand, using direct-fire pot distillation and a koji-based process, with mountain spring water from Mount Omoto. Its range includes general-grade awamori and aged kusu (koshu) bottlings.
