Planète Bordeaux, run by the regional Bordeaux wine body, is a visitor and information hub for the Bordeaux, Bordeaux Supérieur and Crémant de Bordeaux appellations, which it offers as covering more than half of the Gironde vineyard. It presents the region's wine colours, grape varieties, vintages and food pairings, and offers a wine shop for these appellations. Its history section lists milestones from the 1936 appellation decree onward, including the creation of the regional syndicate in 1967 and the tourism site in 1998.
