Weingut Herbert Steffes is a family-run winery in Waldrach, in the Ruwer valley, now in its third generation. It grows mainly Riesling on steep slate slopes, with growing amounts of Weissburgunder and Spätburgunder, and ferments its wines spontaneously in stainless steel tanks. It also produces a hand-riddled Riesling sparkling wine and offers tastings in its small slate cellar and courtyard.
