Gavalas Winery is a family-run winery in the village of Megalochori on Santorini, housed in a converted traditional stone winery building that combines original cellars with modern equipment. It produces around ten wine labels, focusing on the local Assyrtiko grape and reviving rare indigenous varieties such as Katsano, Voudomato and Mavrotragano. The wines are distributed across Greece and exported to markets including the USA, Japan, Cyprus, Belgium and the UK.
